Carol is an Assistant Professor of Management at Lipscomb University’s College of Business. Carol's doctoral dissertation, The Sacred and the Secular: The Impact of Gender and Religiosity on Leadership, explores the complex dynamics at the intersection of faith, gender, and leadership attainment. Her research and teaching reflect a deep dedication to cultivating inclusive and values-driven business environments.

Kevin is a seasoned product management leader in the e-commerce and retail sectors. He held significant roles at prominent companies including Dollar Shave Club, lululemon, Target, and Zappos. Kevin is also an adjunct professor at California State Fullerton’s College of Business and Economics where he teaches courses in strategic management and training and development. His research focuses on employee resource groups with an emphasis on its features that contribute to effective advocacy and support for employees.

Kimberly is an Assistant Professor at the University of Alaska Fairbanks’ College of Business and Security Management. Her research explores participatory governance, organizational design, and social impact, with a focus on novel organizational forms. She has worked with Alaska Native Corporations to study shareholder participation in Indigenous organizations. Her academic work is grounded in real-world relevance and shaped by global industry experience in communications, strategy, and marketing across Asia, Europe, and North America.

Melanie Venture is a marketing and branding professional with a focus on customer insights and analytics at McKesson. Her research is currently focused on cross-sector partnerships for social impact. Melanie’s dissertation, Exploring Strategies for Social Impact in Cross-Sector Partnerships: A Multiple Case Study Approach, reviews six cross-sector partnerships between businesses and nonprofit organizations, and their respective approaches to achieving social impact. She is passionate about blending business acumen with advancing social impact in organizations seeking to affect change.

Ruth is an Assistant Professor of Accounting at the University of Alaska’s College of Business and Security Management. A CPA, CFE, CIA, and CGMA, she earned her doctorate from Pepperdine University. Her research explores the experiences of Latinas in accounting, a field where they are significantly underrepresented. Prior to academia, Ruth worked at global firms including EY and Deloitte. She teaches courses in managerial, cost, and nonprofit accounting and is passionate about mentoring students and advancing diversity and inclusion within the accounting profession.

Sharifa is the VP of ESG & Safety at Ports America, the largest stevedore company in the U.S. She leads the company’s Environment, Health, and Safety programs, with expertise in risk mitigation and resiliency planning. A published author and frequent speaker on diversity, inequality, and leadership, she serves on the NMSA Technical Committee and the Intermodal Association of North America. Sharifa is also President of Beta Pi Sigma Sorority, Tau Chapter, a nonprofit supporting the Long Beach community through scholarships and aid for the homeless.4o
